Horseonline recruits top talent for international expansion

Horseonline AB (Equinest) is pleased to announce the recruitment of Annika Krause, who will assume the role of International Sales Manager. Annika, along with the existing management team, will drive the company's international expansion.

Annika has an impressive background in sales and internationalization within e-commerce. Most recently, she served as Head of International Sales at Nordic Nest, where she successfully contributed to the company's international efforts, significantly increasing their global presence in a profitable way. Her journey with Nordic Nest began when they were only slightly larger than Horseonline is today and continued until their turnover reached nearly 1.7 billion SEK in 2022.

"From my perspective, Horseonline has tremendous potential, and international expansion is the next natural step in the journey. What I look forward to the most is the opportunity to work with a dedicated team that genuinely loves the products they sell and to have the chance to build up Horseonline's international presence and expansion from the ground up. After the first interview, I probably had a million more questions I wanted to ask, and for me, that's a good sign!" says Annika.

With nearly 10 years of experience in e-commerce, Annika has had the privilege of exploring a variety of roles, ranging from sales responsibilities and communication to pricing and campaign planning. The common thread throughout her journey has been a focus on internationalization and how the entire customer journey best adapts to different markets.

"We are proud to welcome Annika to Horseonline. Her experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset as we strive to establish Horseonline on the international stage. Annika's knowledge of international markets is not easy to come by, especially in a smaller town like Kalmar, so we are naturally delighted to have her on the team moving forward," says David Erndin, CEO and co-founder of Horseonline.

Already in early Q4, Horseonline will launch its first international site in English under a .com domain, which will be closely followed by more country-specific initiatives. The first of these is expected in Q1 2024.

"Last year's shift in ERP and WMS was the final piece of the puzzle we needed to put in place. Now we are ready to work towards a much larger market and target audience, offering products that both riders and horse enthusiasts demand. We also know that there are several countries in Europe with a strong interest in equestrian sports. The past year has also highlighted the importance of diversifying when the economy wavers. By internationalizing, we are building ourselves stronger and more resilient against national fluctuations," concludes David.

Annika will start her employment with Horseonline in January 2024.
