NAF's Electro Salts are used to replace the four essential body salts (sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium) that may otherwise be lost when a horse sweats a lot, such as during maximal exertion or extreme weather conditions. A horse with healthy electrolyte levels is not at the same risk of exhaustion, which in turn leads to impaired performance.
You can easily add the supplement to the daily feed, or alternatively, dissolve it in the horse's water. Regardless of whether you choose to mix the supplement in feed or water, it is important to ensure that the horse has access to a large amount of water, as is always the case when any form of electrolytes is given.
Electro Salts' concentrated formula is specially designed for extreme conditions; otherwise, it is recommended to feed a more diluted form of electrolytes - for example, NAF's Electro Lytes Liquid. Please note that the horse, when given this supplement as well, needs access to plenty of water.
Dosage
Administer after maximal exertion in hot weather or to compensate for the horse's electrolyte losses related to heavy sweating.
