The History Behind HKM

HKM was founded in Germany in 1967 by Hans, Klaus, and Marlene Egbers, initially focusing on the manufacturing of trousers and sewing accessories. In 1982, the first equestrian sports product, the Molton saddle pad, was produced under the Equestrian Sports segment, which became one of the company's main areas of focus in the following years. In the early '90s, their production of products for horses and riders gained momentum, and they expanded their range to include both horse blankets and riding clothing. Not long after, in 1998, HKM shifted its full focus to the manufacturing of equestrian sports articles.
