Waldhausen Health + Care Ice-Layer Cooling Rug is designed to help keep your horse cool on hot days. The rug uses an evaporative cooling principle, where moisture is gradually released from the fabric to provide an even and comfortable cooling effect across the horse’s body.
The rug is soaked together with the included bag in a bucket of water. It is then wrung out so that it does not drip before being placed on the horse. The specially developed materials allow the water to evaporate slowly, helping to dissipate heat during use.
The rug is secured at the chest with a practical clip fastener. It is intended for supervised use only and is not suitable for turnout, pasture or use while the horse is moving. A matching neck piece is available separately.
