Optimo Protector Plus is a high-quality fly rug from Horseware, made from a patented mesh material that is both durable and highly breathable. The material also features self-repairing properties, making the rug extra durable for everyday use while protecting against flies, insects and the sun’s UV rays.
The fit is designed to give the horse plenty of freedom of movement. With Horseware’s Optimo Split Technology and an articulated dart system across the shoulder, the rug follows the horse’s movements naturally without restricting the shoulder area.
For increased comfort, the rug is lined with a shine-enhancing material over the shoulders, along the mane and on the tail flap. This reduces friction against the coat and helps keep it smooth and shiny. A soft fleece pad over the withers provides additional comfort.
At the front, the rug closes with an adjustable bib front that lies softly against the chest and helps distribute pressure across the breast, reducing the risk of rubbing. The rug is also equipped with an extended, detachable neck cover, three straight surcingles under the belly and dual leg arches for good freedom of movement behind.
The extra-long tail flap provides additional protection against insects, and a practical PVC tail strap at the back can easily be wiped clean.
