Optimo Supreme Summer Sheet Plus is designed to provide the horse with effective protection from the sun. The rug blocks 90–95% of UV radiation, making it a good option for horses that are sensitive to sunlight or to protect the coat from fading.
The outer fabric consists of a polycotton material with 40% cotton, a combination that provides good breathability and a soft, comfortable feel against the horse.
The construction is based on Optimo Split Technology, which increases freedom of movement and allows the rug to follow the horse’s movements naturally. The extended neck cover is shaped to provide good coverage while maintaining freedom of movement around the neck and shoulders.
To reduce friction against the coat, the rug is lined over the shoulders, mane and tail flap. At the front it closes with a bib front closure that provides a stable and comfortable fit. The rug also comes with a detachable neck cover.
The fit is secured with three straight surcingles and dual leg arches, while an extra-long tail flap provides more coverage at the back. The rug is also equipped with a wipe-clean PVC tail strap and loops for leg straps.
