The 2.5-ring Bomber Blue from Bombers is a multi-ring bit that combines poll pressure with a mild lifting effect on the mouthpiece. This 2.5-ring version is the mildest in its category, thanks to the half ring that reduces the lifting effect and provides a softer action compared to models with more full rings. Also known as a Pessoa bit, the Bomber Blue features a unique ported mouthpiece that offers good tongue relief, and the lightweight synthetic material makes it comfortable in the horse’s mouth while stimulating salivation.
The mouthpiece is particularly suitable for sensitive horses or those that do not accept traditional metal bits, due to its soft and easily accepted feel. The port sizes are adapted to the bit width to ensure a correct fit and minimize unwanted movement. The bit is supplied with a nylon strap.
It is important to note that the bit is not suitable for horses that chew on it, and damage caused by chewing is not covered by the warranty. However, the steel parts are covered by Bombers' lifetime warranty. All Bombers bits are handmade in South Africa and are available in a wide range of sizes and designs.
