The Eggbutt Bit Moulded Mullen from Bombers is a stable bit designed to reduce the risk of pinching the horse's lips and corners of the mouth. Its fixed rings provide a steady feel against the horse's side, preventing the bit from being pulled through the mouth and ensuring even and secure contact. Compared to loose rings, the eggbutt offers slightly slower release and a gentle pressure over the poll.
The Moulded Mullen features a cast mouthpiece with a unique, slightly flattened shape and a 45-degree angle, delivering a very soft and evenly distributed pressure over and around the tongue. This design is particularly suited for horses with sensitive mouths, issues in the bars, or those that do not accept traditional metal bits. It provides even tongue pressure with minimal impact on the bars.
Inside the mouthpiece is a flexible stainless steel core, encased in a specially developed, non-toxic, UV-resistant synthetic material approved by FDA standards. This material is designed for a smooth feel, high comfort, and good durability. The bit is not suitable for horses that chew on the bit, and damages from chewing are not covered by the warranty, while the steel parts are covered by Bombers' lifetime guarantee.
