The Satinox CM Mullen Mouth Port D-Bit Ø70 mm from Sprenger is a straight bit with fixed D-shaped rings and a port, designed to relieve pressure from the centre of the tongue and provide more space in the mouth. The construction means that pressure increases with stronger rein aids. The bit provides direct and precise action.
The fixed D-rings allow direct pressure transfer to the tongue and lower jaw as well as light pressure on the poll. The design helps the bit sit stably in the mouth, is gentle on the corners of the mouth, and provides clear lateral contact, which can offer more guiding support. The mouthpiece has a thickness of 14 mm and the ring diameter is 70 mm.
The bit is part of the Satinox series, which is Sprenger’s range of anatomically shaped bits made from stainless steel with a satin-finished mouthpiece. The mouthpiece of this model is slightly curved, providing tongue relief and contributing to even pressure distribution as well as a direct and precise effect.
The bit is made from stainless steel, an alloy of iron, chromium, and nickel with high strength. The material is taste-neutral and has no chewing-stimulating properties. All stainless steel bits from Sprenger are manufactured according to high quality standards.
Stainless steel bits are easy to clean with water and should then be dried thoroughly. If necessary, Sprenger Diamond Paste can be used to clean the surface and restore the appearance of the material.
