The DUO Flexible Plastic Eggbutt Ø70 mm from Sprenger is a fixed ring bit and, like all DUO bits from Sprenger, features a mouthpiece made from soft, flexible plastic with a steel core that provides stability and safety and prevents the bit from being bitten through. The fixed rings provide direct pressure transfer to the tongue and lower jaw as well as light pressure on the poll. The construction contributes to a stable and calm position in the mouth. The mouthpiece can be used either straight or with tongue relief, depending on how the bit is fitted.
The bit has a thickness of 16 mm and a ring diameter of 70 mm.
Sprenger’s DUO bits are made from food-safe, solvent-free materials and contain no plasticisers.
Plastic bits and bits with plastic components should be cleaned regularly with water and checked for wear. Marks caused by contact with the horse’s teeth can lead to sharp edges, especially on plastic bits, which may cause injuries in the mouth. Plastic bits are softer than metal bits and should not come into contact with the horse’s teeth.
