The Beris Kimblewick Comfort Thin Soft bit features a thinner mouthpiece designed to provide more space in the horse's mouth while maintaining clear and balanced contact. This mouthpiece is based on the same principle as the Comfort Bar but in a narrower version for a more discreet feel. The Kimblewick bit combines direct pressure in the mouth with a slight leverage effect, distributing pressure across the tongue, bars, poll, and lower jaw. By choosing different rein attachments, the degree of impact can be adjusted—higher attachments offer a milder effect, while lower ones increase leverage.
The fixed cheekpiece contributes to a stable position in the horse's mouth and even impact. This bit is often used when more control is desired than a regular snaffle bit, without transitioning to a traditional curb bit. The 3-ring system allows for customization according to needs, and it can be used with one or two reins depending on the desired function. Note that the mouthpiece is not intended for horses that chew on the bit.
