A single jointed Scourier bit from Metalab, with four rings, where the double rings attach to the bridle's cheekpieces, and the reins are attached to the other rings. When the rider applies rein pressure, it creates pressure on the sides of the horse's mouth, resulting in a quicker and more responsive effect than a regular snaffle bit typically provides. Since the reins are attached to the outer rings and the inner rings only connect to the cheekpieces, it prevents the bit from sliding through the horse's mouth when taking a leading rein contact. One side is textured for increased sensitivity in the mouth.
We recommend the Scourier bit for experienced riders with a gentle hand, as it is a strong bit.
