The Satinox CM Mullen Mouth Port bit from Sprenger is a ported bit that relieves pressure on the centre of the tongue and provides more space in the mouth. The design means that pressure increases with stronger rein aids. The bit has a thickness of 14 mm and rings with a diameter of 70 mm.
The Satinox series is Sprenger’s range of anatomically shaped bits made from stainless steel with a satin-finished mouthpiece. The matte surface provides an even contact area against the horse’s tongue, while the curved shape allows space for the tongue. This contributes to even pressure distribution as well as a direct and precise action.
The bit is made from stainless steel, an alloy of iron, chromium, and nickel with particularly high strength. The material is taste-neutral and has no chewing-stimulating properties. All stainless steel bits from Sprenger are manufactured according to high quality standards.
Stainless steel bits are easy to clean with water and should then be dried thoroughly. If needed, Sprenger Diamond Paste can be used to clean the surface and restore the appearance of the material.
