The eQuick eArtik Cooling Bell Boots in black are designed to provide targeted cooling around the horse’s hoof and fetlock area. They can be used after training and competition or whenever local cooling treatment is needed, and are supplied in one size. The boots feature an anatomical shape that helps them stay stable and correctly positioned on the leg.
A wide hook-and-loop closure makes the eArtik boots easy to put on and take off, and allows you to adjust the fit around the horse’s leg. Each pack includes two boots and two reusable gel packs. For cooling treatment, place the gel packs in the freezer for at least 2 hours before inserting them into the dedicated pockets in the boots and putting the boots on the horse. The manufacturer normally recommends a treatment time of around 20 minutes, but this should be adjusted according to the horse’s needs and your veterinarian’s advice.
The gel packs can also be used for heat treatment. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, they can be heated in a microwave for a maximum of 1 minute at 650 W, and the temperature must always be checked carefully before applying them to the horse. The boots are easy to care for: remove the gel packs before washing and machine wash the boots at 30 °C with the hook-and-loop straps closed.
