The eQuick eArtik Cooling Leg Protection in black is designed for use on the horse’s legs both after training and whenever local cold or heat treatment is needed. The boots are supplied with reusable gel packs that can be used either cold or warm and are placed in internal pockets.
The anatomical shape helps the boots sit securely around the leg, while three wide hook-and-loop straps make it easy to adjust the fit for different horses and legs. This model comes in one size. For cooling treatment, place the gel packs in the freezer for at least two hours before inserting them into the pockets. The manufacturer normally recommends around 20 minutes of use, but treatment time should always be adapted to the individual case and agreed with a veterinarian.
The gel packs can also be used for heat treatment. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, they can be heated in a microwave for a maximum of 1 minute at 650 W, and the temperature must always be checked carefully before applying the boots to the horse. eArtik is practical both at home and at competitions and is delivered with a storage bag. The gel packs are reusable and can be removed easily when the boots need washing. Care instructions: remove the gel packs, close the hook-and-loop straps and machine wash the boots at 30 °C.
