Waldhausen Health + Care Cooling Gel is a blue cooling leg wrap with multiple separate cooling chambers that provide an even cooling effect around the horse’s leg. The wrap can be used after training and exercise or as part of daily leg care. Thanks to its generous design, it is suitable for both front and hind legs.
The cooling leg wrap can be easily adjusted to the horse’s leg using elastic hook-and-loop fasteners. It can be used several times a day if needed, for approximately 20–30 minutes per treatment. The horse should not be left unattended during use.
Before use, the cooling leg wrap should be stored in a refrigerator for at least 4–6 hours. It can also be cooled in a freezer for a shorter period, but should not be left there long enough for the cooling chambers to freeze completely. This type of cooling is resource-efficient and can be an alternative to traditional cooling with a water hose.
