The Safety Rein Secutrust from Waldhausen is a black breastplate with integrated safety reins, designed to give the rider extra support and stability in the saddle. The combination can be used when training beginners as well as when riding young or more reactive horses, where an additional handhold can be useful.
During lunging, the safety reins can be used to practise holding the reins and to prepare the rider for more independent riding. They also provide extra support when the rider starts riding without lunging assistance. The safety reins are attached directly to the breastplate and give the rider something to hold on to in sudden movements, making it possible to gain extra support without having to pull strongly on the horse’s regular reins. The breastplate is suitable for different types of riding training.
