The De Luxe Comfort, from Protector, is a grazing muzzle made from durable nylon. The chin strap and headpiece are softly padded to reduce pressure and provide a more comfortable fit. The construction is airy, with large openings around the nose area to ensure free breathing during use. The nose section is made of rubber and lined with soft synthetic fleece on the inside, minimizing the risk of chafing.
Grazing muzzles are used to limit a horse's intake of grass, for example in cases of laminitis sensitivity or when weight control is needed, while still allowing turnout and free movement in the paddock.
