Eclipse Biofarmab has launched psyllium seeds with an apple flavor to cater to picky horses that find the smell and taste of regular psyllium seeds a bit odd.

Psyllium seeds are especially beneficial for horses that stay in paddocks where grass is scarce. When there is not enough for the horse to eat in the paddock, it is common for them to ingest gravel and sand, which significantly increases the risk of colic in the long run. Psyllium seeds form a gel when they come into contact with the stomach’s fluids. This gel, in turn, traps sand and gravel and helps the horse expel it from the body.

Dosage

Maintenance dose:
4 scoops/day for up to 30 days

For therapeutic use:
12 scoops/day for 5 days (only in consultation with a veterinarian).

1 scoop = 25g

5kg = 50 daily servings at maintenance dosage
