Chia seeds in a 5 kg sack with apple flavor - for picky horses.
Eclipse Biofarmab has launched chia seeds with apple flavor to cater to choosier horses that find regular chia seeds to smell and taste a bit strange.
Chia seeds are especially good for horses that stay in paddocks where there is a lack of grass. When there's not enough for the horse to eat in the paddock, horses commonly end up ingesting gravel and sand, which ultimately leads to a significantly increased risk of colic. Chia seeds are psyllium seeds that form a mucilage when in contact with the stomach's fluids. This mucilage, in turn, captures sand and gravel, helping the horse expel it from the body.
