Biotics, from NAF, consists of a unique combination of pre- and probiotics specifically designed to support the horse's natural microbial balance in the gut. The supplement includes, among other things, a live yeast culture that has been proven to provide support to the horse's digestive health.
The composition is ideal for hardworking competition and performance horses, horses recovering from antibiotic treatment, and young foals prone to diarrhea. All of these can be susceptible to a microbial disturbance and consequently an imbalance in the digestive system, making NAF's Biotics a superb supplement to provide extra support for the horse.
Biotics Pre- & Probiotics is also available as Instant Shots, a more convenient variant of the supplement delivered in a practical, small oral syringe. Instant Shots are perfect, for example, to give to foals that cannot yet eat concentrated feed.
Dosage
Give Biotics as a short-term course when there is a digestive imbalance or after antibiotic treatment. It can also be given as a maintenance dose when needed. Administer together with the horse's daily feed.
Horses & ponies:
- 1-3 days - 60g/day, approximately 4 measures
- 4-7 days - 30g/day, approximately 2 measures
- Standard dose - 30g/day, approximately 2 measures
Foals:
- Standard dose - 30g/day, approximately 2 measures
At a dose of 30g/day, 800g will last approximately 26 days.
