NAF's Vitamin E & Selenium Plus, with lysine, supports muscle function in hard-working horses and promotes fertility in stallions and mares. The supplement is also recommended if the horse is in an area with selenium-deficient soil.
It contains live yeast culture for optimal nutrient absorption.
Why does the horse need selenium?
Horses fed mineral feed usually have their selenium needs met, but extra selenium supplementation may be required if the horse is subject to hard work, is pregnant, or consumes feed grown in areas with low selenium levels.
It's worth noting, however, that an overdose of selenium can also cause serious health problems, so it's important to ensure that the horse receives the right amount of selenium based on its individual needs. If you're unsure how much selenium your horse needs, it's recommended to consult a veterinarian for analysis.
