Eclipse Biofarmab Better Blood is a complementary feed for horses, developed to support the body's production of blood cells and promote efficient absorption of iron from the daily feed. The product contains folic acid, vitamin B12 and inulin and is specially formulated for horses that need additional nutritional support for normal blood values, for example during periods of increased fatigue, after infections or in connection with long journeys.
The horse's regular feed usually contains enough iron to meet its daily requirements. In certain situations, however, it may be beneficial to support the body's ability to absorb iron and produce new red blood cells. Better Blood is therefore designed to support these natural processes without adding extra iron.
Folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12 are water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in the formation of red blood cells. Folic acid is needed for normal cell division, protein synthesis and DNA production, while vitamin B12 works together with folic acid in the body's blood-forming processes.
Better Blood also contains inulin, a prebiotic dietary fibre that helps support balanced intestinal flora. A healthy intestinal environment is important for nutrient absorption, including the body's ability to absorb iron from feed.
