Linseed Oil is a complementary feed for horses consisting of 100% cold-pressed Swedish linseed oil of the highest quality. Linseed oil is a natural source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and provides an energy-rich supplement without increasing the starch or sugar content of the horse's diet. The product is suitable for performance horses, breeding horses and horses that require additional energy or nutritional support for healthy skin and coat.
Linseed oil naturally contains a high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids and has a favourable balance of omega-3 and omega-6. These fatty acids contribute to normal skin function and a healthy, glossy coat and play an important role in many of the body's normal physiological functions. The concentrated energy supplied by the oil provides long-lasting energy without the rapid blood sugar fluctuations associated with starch-rich feeds.
The cold-pressing process preserves the oil's natural nutrients, resulting in a premium-quality product. The linseed oil is produced in Sweden from Swedish-grown flaxseed and contains approximately 53% omega-3 fatty acids, considerably more than many other vegetable oils.
Linseed oil may also contribute to improved feed utilisation and is an excellent daily supplement for horses of all ages.
