In the eighties, Bucas manufactured their first attempt at waterproof blankets. This was followed by the first high-performance, completely waterproof and breathable blankets in the late eighties, and many years later, we can see that the development has come a long way. Bucas claims to have perfected the "Stay-dry" principle, which involves lining that transports sweat and moisture away from the horse while keeping the inside of the lining dry. Bucas Fly Sheets and Cooler Blankets

Fly sheets and cooler blankets for the warm season are also part of the range. The well-known zebra-patterned blanket has become a signature of Bucas. The blanket is called Buzz Off and was developed based on studies that suggest that flies are less likely to land and settle on the zebra pattern, likely because it's confusing in some way. Buzz Off is also available as a fly mask for complete protection during the summer. The cooler blanket is appreciated in competition and training contexts or when you want to keep the sensitive back warm and free from moisture while allowing the sides to be well-ventilated by the mesh material. The blanket is a combination of the Stay-dry technology on the back and cool material on the sides to keep insects away.

Bucas Travel Boots

Bucas has developed durable travel boots with a focus on comfort, easy handling, and robust materials. The range includes both high boots and three-quarter boots that don't go as far up the horse's legs. Some horses are not particularly fond of travel boots, and in such cases, using slightly shorter boots can be a good idea to avoid the risk of the horse moving and kicking more than it would without protection, which is not ideal.
