  • Information
  • Kentucky protective sock safeguards the horse's legs against chafing from leg protectors, wounds, bacteria, fungi, dirt, and also provides additional support to the leg. It can also be used to apply ice packs to the legs for cooling after exertion or higher up on the leg where cooling guards and similar accessories may not reach. Horses with sensitive legs and fetlocks can benefit from wearing the protective sock under the leg protector, creating a "second skin" that prevents and counteracts chafing. A tip is to secure the sock to the leg protector with Tesa tape to keep it in place even more securely. The protective sock can be used multiple times and is machine washable at 30 degrees.

    • Protects against chafing, bacteria, fungi, dirt, and more
    • Easy and effective to use
    • Can be cut to the desired length
    • Reusable
    • Machine washable at 30 degrees

    Technical Benefits
    • Antibacterial
Antibacterial materials have the advantage that bacteria do not adhere to the fabric, thus not coming into contact with the horse.
    • Machine Washable
Most of Kentucky's products can be machine washed at 30 degrees. However, washing should be done as infrequently as justifiable, and always use laundry bags to maintain quality over the long term. Let it air dry in sunny/dry conditions. Avoid tumble dryers/heated air. Sun drying is suitable.
