Back on Track’s mesh rug Royal Deluxe is designed for year-round use and offers a well-thought-out combination of ventilation, comfort, and functionality. During summer, the airy mesh material helps keep the horse cool while protecting against flies and other irritating insects. In cooler periods, the rug works perfectly as an extra layer under other rugs. It is also a practical choice as a transport rug or as a sweat rug after training sessions.
The Deluxe version features a shaped topline and an anatomically designed fit with hidden shoulder pleats for increased freedom of movement. At the front, the rug is reinforced with a more tightly woven fabric that reduces the risk of chafing and hair getting caught. The withers are lined with soft fleece for extra comfort and to prevent wear on the mane. The rug closes with double front buckles and has cross surcingles under the belly as well as D-rings for a tail strap.
On the inside, the rug is equipped with Welltex® technology, developed to stimulate blood circulation and help the horse maintain an optimal body temperature. Increased circulation may contribute to more flexible and mobile muscles and joints, making the rug particularly suitable before and after training or competition, both for warm-up and recovery.
The rug is fitted with flat buckles on the inside at the neck, allowing attachment of a separate neck cover. The neck cover is a valuable addition in colder temperatures and for horses that experience stiffness in the neck and poll area. Neck cover sold separately.

Welltex®
The unique composition of natural minerals in Welltex® technology captures body heat and converts it into long-wave infrared energy, which is then reflected back to the skin, joints, and muscles. Infrared energy is known for its ability to promote blood circulation and may therefore be helpful during recovery from injuries, wear and tear, inflammation, or tense muscles.
Start using Back on Track
Back on Track products with Welltex technology should be introduced gradually to allow the body to adapt to the effect. The recommendation is a maximum of 4 hours/day during the first 2–3 days, then gradually increase usage time by one hour at a time. Once the introduction period is over, the products should be used at least 8 hours per day, preferably longer. It may take up to 10–20 days of use before maximum results are achieved.
If you feel the effect begins to decrease, it may be beneficial to take a break from the product. After the neutralization period, you can restart and reintroduce the product again.
The products are preferably used in direct contact with the skin, but are also effective with a thin layer of fabric underneath. They can be used both during rest and activity – but the best effect is achieved during activity due to higher body temperature and stronger heat reflection.
Use together with liniment or similar at your own discretion, as the effect may be enhanced with simultaneous use.
Please note
Increased blood circulation may, in some cases, cause a sensation of irritation or tenderness. The reaction is completely individual and everyone experiences the effect differently, but it is useful to be aware of this in order to notice it if necessary.
The initial reaction may occur after just a few hours of use. If discomfort is experienced, the product should not be used more the same day; instead, try introducing it more gradually over the following days.

Care instructions
Machine wash, 40°C, gentle cycle. Use regular detergent without bleach or fabric softener. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.
The product should be kept clean for maximum effect. The minerals that provide the effect are melted into the material and cannot be washed or worn away. Follow the washing instructions on the label to extend the lifespan and to maintain elasticity, texture, and shape.
