The Kentucky Horsewear All Weather Waterproof Comfort 1200D 200g is a black winter rug that is waterproof and warmly lined, designed to protect the horse on cold and rainy days. The rug has 200 g of filling and a durable 1200D ripstop polyester outer fabric with a breathable, waterproof coating. Its anatomical construction is designed to sit securely and follow the horse’s body, and it has no back seam or seams over the back to reduce the risk of water penetration in heavy rain.
At the front, the rug closes with Kentucky’s Comfort Buckle closure, while three cross surcingles under the belly help distribute pressure and provide a comfortable fit. The inside is lined with smooth, antibacterial 210T polyester that lies softly against the coat. At the back, an extended tail flap offers extra coverage, with an elastic detail that helps keep the tail closer to the rug for increased protection, and reflective details improve visibility.
The rug is equipped with a detachable elastic tail cord with a plastic cover at the back, which is easy to clean and helps keep the rug in place. It is machine washable at 30°C but should not be tumble dried. The manufacturer recommends renewing the waterproof treatment after more than five washes to maintain the rug’s water-repellent properties.
