Cavallo's well-known hoof boots, also called barefoot shoes, are a pair of innovative, easy-to-put-on and take-off horse shoes that provide effective protection for the unshod hoof against hard and abrasive surfaces, as well as ice and slippery conditions. Cavallo Hoof Boots have similar properties to regular iron shoes, but with the difference that they can be put on and taken off at any time. They are ideal when your unshod horse needs to walk a longer distance on hard ground or if it simply has slightly more sensitive soles. The hoof boots are also suitable for use in cases of laminitis or other hoof problems, or as a temporary solution when your horse has lost a shoe.
This particular variant is called BFB, which stands for Big Foot Boot. The model is specially designed to fit the largest hooves, such as draft horses, working horses, or just larger breeds. BFB is developed with an upper made of durable nylon material and a molded TPU sole.
The barefoot shoes are easily slipped over the hoof and then fastened with convenient, replaceable Velcro straps. The hoof boots should have a tight and close fit that follows the horse's hoof. Sold in pairs.
