Cavallo's well-known hoof boots, also called barefoot shoes, are a pair of innovative, on-and-off removable horse shoes that, when needed, provide effective protection for the unshod hoof from both hard and abrasive surfaces as well as ice and slippery conditions. Cavallo Hoof Boots, in other words, have similar properties to a regular iron shoe, but with the difference that they can be put on and taken off at any time. Ideal when your unshod horse needs to walk a distance on hard surfaces, or if it perhaps has slightly sensitive soles. The hoof boots are also suitable for use in cases of laminitis or other hoof problems, alternatively as a temporary solution when your horse has lost a shoe.
This particular model, Sport Hoof Boots, not only has a lightweight, sleek design and discreet reflective details, but also fits perfectly for lighter riding. Both the inside and outside are made of leather, providing an optimal fit that conforms to your horse's bulbs. The top is made of durable nylon material with 1680D, and the underside is made of molded TPU. The Regular Sole means they are designed to fit a round hoof, however, if your horse has a slightly more oval-shaped hoof, there is also the Sport Slim Sole.
The barefoot shoes are easily slipped over the hooves and then fastened with both Velcro straps and quick-release buckles. The hoof boots should have a snug and close fit that follows the horse's hoof. Sold in pairs.
