The Body Guard from Schockemöhle Sports is a black neoprene breastplate cover designed to reduce the risk of rubbing while protecting leather tack from direct contact with the horse’s sweat. It is particularly useful for horses with sensitive skin that easily develop rub marks from the breastplate or other parts of the equipment, as it creates a protective layer between the horse’s skin and the leather.
This breastplate cover is made from flexible and supple neoprene that lies smoothly against the horse and helps to prevent friction and irritation during riding. By reducing direct contact between the breastplate and the horse’s body, the Body Guard supports greater comfort and at the same time helps to preserve the leather by limiting its exposure to sweat, which can help keep the tack in good condition for longer.
The streamlined construction makes the cover easy to attach and remove when needed, which is practical for everyday use. The neoprene material is also easy to clean and simple to maintain after riding, making the Body Guard suitable for regular use in both training and competition.
