The Body Guard from Schockemöhle Sports is a brown neoprene breastplate cover that adds an extra layer between the horse’s skin and the leather tack. It is designed to reduce the risk of rubbing and irritation from the breastplate and other parts of the equipment, and is particularly useful for horses with sensitive skin that are prone to chafing.
Made from flexible and supple neoprene, the cover lies smoothly against the horse’s body and creates an even contact surface. By reducing direct contact between the leather and the horse’s sweat, the Body Guard helps to limit friction on the skin while also protecting the leather from sweat, which can help keep the equipment in good condition for longer. Its streamlined construction makes it easy to attach and remove when needed, which is practical for everyday use in both training and competition.
The neoprene material is also easy to clean and straightforward to maintain after riding, making the Body Guard a versatile and functional accessory for regular use.
