  • Information
  • Samshield Shadowmatt 2.0, also known as Samshield Shadowmatt V2 – a high-quality premium helmet developed after four years of intensive research and development. The helmet is designed to meet riders' demands for comfort, fit, and safety, while offering optimal airflow and a modern, elegant style.

The helmet is made from premium materials, including polycarbonate commonly used in elite motorcycle helmets, and features a scratch-resistant surface for extra durability. A unique design with new edges allows up to 300 Swarovski crystals to be attached, even in areas where airflow passes, without compromising safety.

With an innovative six-point ventilation system, maximum airflow is guaranteed. In addition, the helmet has an integrated chin strap designed to fit all hairstyles, including the popular trainer’s bun, and memory foam that adapts to the user for long-lasting comfort.

The semi-rigid chin strap ensures the helmet stays securely in place, even during sudden movements, and the inner shell of polystyrene with varying density provides effective energy absorption in case of impact.

This particular model, Shadowmatt 2.0 Black Chrome, is equipped with a standard visor and comes in a matte navy look with shiny Chrome details.

NOTE – the inner liner is sold separately, see Liner Premium/Oval for Samshield 2.0 and Liner Shadowmatt/Round for Samshield 2.0. The liner can then, thanks to a new strong clip system, be easily removed for washing as needed.

    Liner, size & fit
The helmet comes in four base sizes: S, M, L and XL. You also need to purchase a liner, which is sold separately.

Samshield 2.0 has two different liner models, where you can choose either round or oval shape. Both variants come in sizes 52-64, so after determining your helmet shell size, you simply choose the model that fits your head shape. If you are unsure, we recommend the round model, as it is the most common. See the size guide for how to measure. The liner is removable and washable at max 30ºC.

Note that some sizes overlap; for example, size 56 is available in both S and M. Choose whichever feels best — if you have a smaller head, S will usually feel more comfortable. Just make sure to choose a liner with the same size attribute (S, M, L, XL) as your shell so that shell and liner fit together.

    • S - fits size S52-S56
    • M - fits size M55-M58
    • L - fits size L57-L61
    • XL - fits size XL61-XL64

The two available liner models are:

    • Premium/Oval
    • Shadowmatt/Round

Tip: buy two sets of liners if you want to wash them more frequently during summer. Another reason for an extra liner is if you want to switch between having your hair up or down, or wear a hat under the helmet in colder weather. You can then buy a larger liner that gives space for this and switch back to the original size when it gets warmer.

The same principle applies if you have a growing child — often it is enough to simply buy a new, larger liner as the child grows instead of purchasing a completely new helmet.

Size Guide - How to Choose the Right Helmet Size

Samshield's 2.0 riding helmets come in four basic shell sizes: S, M, L, and XL. Each shell must then be matched with a liner, either Premium/Open or Shadowmatt/Closed. Both variants are available in sizes 52-64, so after determining your helmet size, simply choose the model that fits your head shape. If unsure, we recommend the round/closed shape, as it is the most common.

Note that some sizes overlap, for example, size 56 is available in both S and M. Here, you choose what feels best; if you have a smaller head, S will likely feel more comfortable. Just make sure to choose a liner with the same size attribute (S, M, L, XL) as your shell, so the shell and inner padding fit together properly.

    • S - fits size S52-S56
    • M - fits size M55-M58
    • L - fits size L57-L61
    • XL - fits size XL61-XL64

To determine which size you need, measure the circumference of your head with a soft measuring tape just above your eyebrows and ears. The measurement in centimeters indicates the helmet and liner size you should have, so the size corresponds to the circumference measurement. See the table below.
