  • Information
  • Riding helmet Smart Polo belongs to KEP's basic range and is a very affordable riding helmet that offers a combination of safety, function and style. The riding helmet is made in Italy and is suitable for all disciplines – whether for everyday riding or competition. The navy blue, matte surface and the sleek design give a sophisticated and modern look, while the wide sun visor protects the eyes from strong light when riding outdoors.

NOTE – inner liner is sold separately, see Liner/Innerpad from KEP Italia.

The outer shell is made of durable ABS plastic with a front grille reinforced with an internal steel mesh for extra safety. The ventilation system KEP AIR CONTROL SYSTEM provides even air circulation through the polystyrene layer and helps maintain a comfortable temperature. The five-point chin strap in hypoallergenic eco-leather ensures that the helmet stays securely in place without sliding forward or causing chafing.

    The helmet is VG1-approved.

    Inner liner, size & fit
The helmet comes in two base sizes, M and L. You will then also need to purchase a liner, which is sold separately.

KEP has two different liner models, where you can choose either round or oval shape. Both variants come in sizes 51-62, so after finding out which helmet size you have, you simply choose the model that suits your head shape. If unsure, we recommend the round liner, as it is the most common. See the size guide to learn how to take your measurements. The liner is removable and can be washed as needed, max 30ºC.

    • M – fits size 51-58
    • L – fits size 59-62

A tip is to buy two sets of liners if, for example, you want to wash the liner more frequently during summer. Another reason to have an extra liner is if you want to switch between wearing your hair up or down, or wear a hat under the helmet in colder weather. Then you can buy a larger liner to make room for that, and later switch back to the original size when riding in warmer conditions.

The same principle applies if you have a growing child – you can simply buy a new, larger liner as the child grows, instead of having to buy a whole new helmet.

    Sun visor
The riding helmet is equipped with a wide sun visor, also called a polo visor, which not only gives a trendy look – but also creates optimal conditions for concentration when you are in the saddle.

The visor ensures that you can keep your eyes open without being disturbed or dazzled by the sun, and its slightly deeper design also provides extra protection against rain – ideal if you happen to be out riding just as the weather changes.

    Size Guide
KEP riding helmets have shells that come in two different standard sizes, M and L. Each shell must then be paired with a liner, which is sold separately. KEP liners are available in two versions: oval and round. Both versions come in sizes 51-62, so once you know your helmet size, you simply choose the model that best fits your head shape. If you are unsure which fit is right for you, we recommend the round one, as it is the most common.

To find out your helmet size, measure the circumference of your head with a soft measuring tape, just above your eyebrows and ears. The measurement in centimeters is the helmet size you should choose. Example: if your head has a circumference of 57 cm, you should choose size 57 for your helmet. If you want to wear a hat or have your hair up under the helmet, you should add an extra 1 cm to the measurement.

    M - fits liners in size 51-58.
    L - fits liners in size 59-62.
