Max Relax is a supplement for dogs that show anxiety and imbalance in their mood. The product contains high concentrations of tryptophan, thiamine and magnesium and is given with the aim of improving the dog’s ability to relax and handle stressful situations.
Max Relax can be given preventively before an expected reaction or as a daily supplement in connection with therapeutic exercise. It can be given to dogs that become stressed by new situations, changes of environment, loud noises such as gunshots or fireworks, as well as during special periods such as New Year or travel.
Tryptophan, thiamine and magnesium
Max Relax contains tryptophan, which contributes to the formation of the body’s own substances serotonin and melatonin. Dogs with low serotonin levels may show anxiety, stress and impulsive behavior. A supplement with tryptophan in the daily diet can raise the serotonin level in the dog and thereby help balance the temperament.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that, with the help of magnesium and thiamine, forms serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that affects, among other things, thoughts, feelings and how things are experienced. Problems with neurotransmitters can lead to deteriorating mood.
Melatonin helps the dog reduce anxiety and has a calming effect. Like serotonin, melatonin affects the dog’s mood, but also sleep and the ability to relax. Max Relax also contains thiamine (B1) and magnesium, which also contribute to the formation of serotonin and melatonin.
Which dogs can eat Max Relax?
Max Relax can be used for all adult dogs. It can be given both as a daily supplement and as a temporary supplement during special periods. The product can also be given to dogs with upset stomachs.
