Trikem Probiotic is a probiotic supplement for dogs, developed to support a balanced intestinal flora and healthy digestion. The product combines probiotic bacteria, active yeast and prebiotic inulin to provide broad support for the dog's gastrointestinal environment.

The dog's gastrointestinal tract is a complex ecosystem in which billions of microorganisms are involved in, among other things, breaking down food and absorbing nutrients. The intestinal flora can be affected by factors such as stress, changes in feed, travel, changes in environment and medication. Probiotic can therefore be given both daily and during periods when the dog's stomach and intestines are exposed to additional strain.

The product contains several carefully selected microorganisms and provides approximately 11.4 billion live bacteria and microorganisms per daily dose for a 10 kg dog.

Carefully formulated ingredients
Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544 is an EU-approved probiotic feed additive for dogs. It is a spore-forming bacterium with good stability that can pass through the stomach and reach the intestine, where it contributes to a beneficial microflora and normal stool quality.

Lactobacillus acidophilus CECT 4529 is a lactic acid bacterium that contributes to a balanced microflora in the gastrointestinal tract. Lactic acid bacteria produce lactic acid and thereby help create a beneficial environment for the useful bacteria in the intestine.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC Sc 47 4b1702 is an active yeast that acts as an intestinal flora stabiliser. The yeast helps support the microbial environment of the intestine and digestion, helping the dog utilise nutrients from its daily feed.

Inulin is a natural fibre with prebiotic properties. Inulin is not broken down in the small intestine but reaches the large intestine, where it serves as nourishment for beneficial bacteria and helps support their growth.

Probiotic is vegan and contains no animal protein.

Complete support for the dog's intestinal flora
Trikem Probiotic combines several probiotic microorganisms with prebiotics and active yeast. The combination provides broad support for the dog's intestinal flora and digestion and can contribute to a stable intestinal environment, efficient nutrient absorption and normal stool quality.

The product is particularly useful during periods when the intestinal flora may be affected, for example during changes in feed, travel, stress, changes in environment or after medication.

When is Probiotic recommended?
For temporary gastrointestinal imbalance: Can be given, for example, in cases of loose stools, gas or temporary digestive problems.

During changes in feed: Can be given when transitioning between different types of feed to support the intestinal flora during the change.

After medication: Can be used to support the natural intestinal flora after medication has been completed.

Preventively: Also suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs or during periods of stress, performance, travel and changes in environment.

Use and daily dosage
Probiotic is mixed directly into the dog's feed.

Daily dosage: 2 ml (2 g) per 10 kg body weight.
2 ml corresponds to approximately 0.5 tsp.

In cases of acute gastrointestinal problems, the daily dose may temporarily be doubled during the first few days.

Probiotic can be given daily or as a course during acute or preventive periods. Always ensure that the dog has free access to fresh water.

Contact a veterinarian if the dog has severe or persistent symptoms or shows signs of illness.

Ingredients and analytical constituents
Zootechnical additives: Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544, 2 × 10⁸ CFU per 2 ml (2 g) and 1 × 10¹¹ CFU per kg. Lactobacillus acidophilus CECT 4529, 1.2 × 10⁹ CFU per 2 ml (2 g) and 6 × 10¹¹ CFU per kg.

Intestinal flora stabiliser: Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC Sc 47 4b1702, 0.996 × 10¹⁰ CFU per 2 ml (2 g) and 4.98 × 10¹² CFU per kg.

Composition: Inulin, calcium carbonate.

Analytical constituents: Crude protein 11.0%, crude oils and fats 0.3%, crude fibre 0.5%, crude ash 2.5%, calcium 100 mg/kg, sodium 300 mg/kg and phosphorus 540 mg/kg.

Storage and shelf life
Store tightly closed, dry and cool, preferably in a refrigerator. See the best-before date on the packaging.

Once opened, the package should be used within 3 months. The live microorganisms are sensitive to oxygen and moisture, and for best shelf life and effect the product should therefore be used within this period. After three months, the dose can be increased slightly to continue achieving maximum effect.

The packaging should be recycled as plastic.
