E+Selen is a complementary feed developed to support the horse's muscles during training, competition, or in case of suspected vitamin E and selenium deficiency. The combination of these nutrients helps protect muscle cells from oxidative stress and supports healthy muscle development.
Why E+Selen?
Vitamin E and selenium are two of the most important antioxidants for the horse's muscles. Together, they help neutralize harmful free radicals produced during physical exertion. E+Selen also contains lysine and methionine – amino acids essential for muscle repair and recovery.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E plays a crucial role in protecting muscles, but also supports the nervous system, fertility, and immune function. A deficiency may reduce muscle health and performance. Horses in training are especially at risk of oxidative stress – a condition that vitamin E helps counteract by protecting muscle cells.
Selenium
Selenium works in synergy with vitamin E and is part of enzymes that protect cells from oxidative damage. Early signs of selenium deficiency may include dull coat, but often the issue is noticed when the muscles are affected. Long-term deficiency may cause inflammation, muscle weakness, or atrophy.
When is E+Selen recommended?
This supplement is ideal for horses in regular training, competing, pregnant mares, or those on a diet low in selenium. Use according to the recommended dosage or as advised by a veterinarian.
