Back on Track's Rhyolite is a lightweight liner with 200g filling and integrated Welltex® technology. The liner easily attaches to the outer blanket and is used to provide a little extra warmth, allowing your horse to wear its regular outdoor blanket even in colder temperatures.
Welltex® technology reflects the horse's body heat in the form of infrared energy, thereby increasing blood circulation. This not only has a relaxing effect but also reduces stiffness in muscles and joints while having a soothing effect on conditions like inflammations or arthritis. Therefore, Rhyolite is perfect, for instance, not only as an extra layer in the paddock but also as a preventive measure before warming up or directly after exertion to promote your horse's recovery.
In addition to the T-buckle in the front and a tail strap at the back, the liner is designed with a glossy lining that is gentle on the horse's coat and ensures high breathability, preventing it from getting too warm.

Welltex®
Welltex® technology's unique composition of natural minerals captures body heat and converts it into long-wave infrared energy, which is then reflected back to the skin, joints, and muscles. The infrared energy is known for its ability to promote blood circulation, which can be beneficial for recovery from injuries, wear and tear, inflammations, or strained muscles.
Start Using Back on Track
Back on Track's products, with Welltex® technology, should be gradually introduced to accustom the body to the effect. The recommendation is a maximum of 4 hours/day for the first 2-3 days, then gradually increase usage by one hour at a time. After the introductory period, the products should be used for a minimum of 8 hours per day, preferably longer. It may take up to 10-20 days of use before achieving maximum results.
If, however, you experience a decrease in effect, it may be good to take a break from the product. After the neutralization period, you can start over and reintroduce the product.
The products are preferably used in direct contact with the skin but are also effective with a thin layer of fabric underneath. They can be used during both rest and activity, but the best effect is achieved during activity, due to higher body temperature and hence stronger heat reflection.
Use in conjunction with liniment or similar products at your own discretion; the effect may be enhanced with simultaneous use.
Keep in Mind
An increased blood flow, in some cases, can have an effect that feels irritating or tender. The reaction is entirely individual, and everyone experiences the effect differently, but it's something good to be aware of and address if necessary.
The initial reaction can occur after just an hour of use. If you experience discomfort, do not use the product further that day; instead, try introducing the product more gradually over the following days.
