They protect against hard and abrasive surfaces while providing reliable traction on varying terrain. Unlike traditional horseshoes, hoof boots can easily be put on and removed as required. They are ideal for barefoot horses ridden over longer distances on hard surfaces or horses with sensitive soles. They can also be used for horses with laminitis or other hoof-related issues, as well as a temporary solution if a horse loses a shoe.
Cavallo Trek Hoof Boots are durable, flexible and well ventilated, making them suitable for longer rides and more demanding terrain. The purple upper is made from high-tech Pro Mesh with a honeycomb structure, combining good ventilation with low weight and high durability. The lower section is made from moulded TPU for reliable protection and durability.
This model features the Slim Sole, designed for horses with narrower, more oval-shaped hooves. The sole is approximately 6 mm narrower than it is long and features a low-profile design with a unique tread pattern that supports the frog. The built-in breakover and heel design are developed to promote natural hoof movement.
The boots slip easily over the hoof and fasten with practical, replaceable hook-and-loop closures. For optimum performance, the boots should fit snugly and follow the shape of the hoof without excessive movement. Sold as a pair.
