The Acavallo Rel-X 180 are lightweight safety stirrups featuring an innovative side opening that can rotate 180°, designed to help release the foot in the event of a fall, whether the rider goes forward, sideways or backwards. A strategically positioned locking and release mechanism is designed to reduce the risk of the stirrup opening unintentionally.
The stirrups are made from high-tech metal and flexible polymers, giving a more responsive feel and reduced stiffness compared to traditional stirrups. The opening arm is made of aluminium, while the pins and internal components are stainless steel. The stainless steel footplate features a Grip System for secure traction and long horizontal openings that help prevent the build-up of sand and dirt, and it is set at a 5° angle to promote a correct and comfortable foot position.
The Acavallo Rel-X 180 has a footplate width of 12.5 cm, a weight of 519 g and a maximum load of 150 kg. The stirrups also have a shot-peened surface treatment for increased durability.
