It is advisable to place the trough on as dry a surface as possible, and if wind protection is available, it is preferred since wind exposure itself poses a significant freezing risk. To be on the safe side, the trough should not be filled more than 3/4 full to avoid potential spillage that could lead to deteriorated ground conditions.
A transformer (24V), 1m cord with a plug for a grounded socket (230V) is included, as well as two connectors for the feeder cable (feeder cable itself not included) between the transformer and the heated trough.
