  • Information
  • Cavalor Digest Aid is an ideal supplement for colic-sensitive horses, horses with diarrhea, or to restore the horse's gut flora, for example, after antibiotic treatment.

Digest Aid works by actively improving digestion and simultaneously restoring the horse's gut flora, effectively protecting against digestive problems and binding, trapping, and deactivating mycotoxins.

Digest Aid contains live yeast cultures that positively influence digestion and contribute to a more efficient absorption of nutrients from the feed. It also contains choline chloride, which has a methionine-saving effect, something that plays an important role in fat metabolism. Several different herbs such as oregano, anise, lemon balm, and cumin have been added to improve digestion and taste.

    Dosage
Horse & pony in light training: 30 g/day
    Competition horses: 45 g/day

We recommend a treatment period of at least four weeks, but no longer than six weeks, as it may negatively impact nutrient absorption.

Questions and Answers about Cavalor Digest Aid

Is it possible to use Digest Aid for more than 6-8 weeks in a row?
Digest Aid contains active ingredients that bind specific mycotoxins. If used for an extended period, they can also bind to the vitamins and minerals provided in the diet, potentially resulting in a nutrient deficiency. Therefore, we do not recommend using it for a longer duration than recommended under "dosage."

Does Digest Aid help horses prone to stress-induced diarrhea?
Yes, it has a positive effect on horses experiencing this type of stress-related issue.

When should I be concerned about the horse becoming dehydrated due to diarrhea?
Always ensure that the horse has access to water, even in milder cases. If mild diarrhea persists for more than three days, you should contact a veterinarian. In more severe cases, always contact a veterinarian immediately.
