OneK Helmets: Style and Safety
Like most riding helmets on the market today, OneK offers a wide selection of different models to cater to individual preferences. You can choose between matte and glossy finishes, piping in rose or chrome, helmet color, visor or regular brim, glitter, or other eye-catching decorations. Regardless of your preferences, OneK has a range of options that suits most riders today.
OneK Models – Avance, Defender & Chamude
OneK helmets primarily come in three basic models, and all aesthetic details such as piping, Swarovski crystals, glitter, and more are based on these three models. Below is a brief explanation of each model:
- Avance: The most popular model, primarily known for its wide visor. Avance is often available in a matte finish but also comes in a glossy variant.
- Defender: A classic helmet, the same as Avance but with a regular brim instead of the wide visor.
- Chamude: Very similar to Defender but features an exterior in micromocca, resembling the classic velvet helmets more closely.
Safety
Today, most helmet manufacturers prioritize safety, and OneK is no exception. OneK helmets undergo three tests to ensure their quality. The first test assesses how well the helmet performs when a rider falls on their head. The second test involves applying high pressure, simulating a horse landing on the rider's head. The third test checks for sharp objects that could penetrate the ventilation, ensuring they cannot cause serious harm to the rider. OneK helmets carry the required certifications (VG1:01, EN1384-2017) for competition use and provide users with confidence in the helmet's protective capabilities.
Liners – Choosing the Right Size
OneK helmet sizes are based on a liner system that allows for easy size adjustment. This flexibility is beneficial if the initially chosen size doesn't fit perfectly or if the rider is a child who is still growing. Having multiple liners is also advantageous for more frequent cleaning to keep the helmet fresh. Size is determined by both the liner and the shell. The shell comes in three different sizes, and each liner corresponds to a specific shell size. You can find more information about this on the different helmet models or on the separate liners available for purchase. It's important to note that when you purchase a helmet from Horseonline, one liner is always included, so you don't need to order an extra one unless you choose to do so.
