The Kentucky Horsewear Heavy Melange is a beige, heavier fleece rug designed to combine warmth, moisture transport and breathability. It is made from a warm and durable melange fleece quality that is intended for regular use and can be used all year round when the horse needs a warming, moisture-transporting rug, for example after training, bathing or during transport.
The material has a high absorption capacity and moves moisture from the horse’s body to the outside of the rug, helping the coat to dry while keeping the horse warm. According to the manufacturer, the coat can dry within approximately 5–10 minutes, depending on coat length and conditions. The breathable fleece material supports good air circulation and temperature regulation.
The Heavy Melange features a melange design with discreet piping. At the front it closes with artificial leather details, at the back there is a tail cord that helps keep the rug in place, and on the inside there is a removable surcingle that adds extra stability without affecting the clean outer look.
