The Kentucky Horsewear Heavy Melange is a heavier navy blue fleece rug designed to combine warmth, moisture management and breathability. It is made from a warm and durable melange fleece with high absorption capacity, which draws moisture away from the horse’s body to the outside of the rug. According to the manufacturer, the coat can dry within approximately 5–10 minutes, depending on coat length and conditions, while the horse stays warm.
The breathable fleece material supports good air circulation and temperature regulation, and the heavier quality is intended for regular use all year round when the horse needs a warming, moisture-transporting rug, for example after training, after a bath or during transport. The rug features a melange look with discreet piping along the edges.
At the front, the Heavy Melange closes with artificial leather details, and at the back there is a tail cord that helps keep the rug in place. On the inside, a removable belly strap adds extra stability without affecting the clean outer appearance of the rug.
