The Acavallo Arena Aluplus 2.0 are patented safety stirrups that combine a robust aluminium construction with a carefully designed safety mechanism and ergonomic footbed. The stirrups are made from high-quality, certified anodised aluminium and feature a stainless steel footplate for high durability and resistance to corrosion. The footplate is 12.5 cm wide, has a 5° incline to support correct foot position and reduce strain on knees, pelvis and ankles, and is designed with long horizontal openings that help prevent the build-up of sand and dirt while providing secure grip in different riding conditions.
The outer aluminium arm can open to make it easier for the foot to release in the event of a fall. The locking and release mechanism is positioned one centimetre above the footplate to help prevent the foot from unintentionally sliding out sideways, and the safety mechanism itself is placed in the upper part of the stirrup to reduce the risk of sand and dirt delaying the opening. The stirrups weigh 904 g, have a maximum opening of 105 mm and a maximum load of 150 kg.
