The Acavallo Arena Aluplus 2.0 are patented safety stirrups in black that combine a robust aluminium construction with a considered safety mechanism and an ergonomic footbed. They are made from high-quality, certified anodised aluminium and feature a stainless steel tread for high durability and resistance to corrosion.
The outer aluminium arm can open to make it easier for the foot to release in the event of a fall. The locking and release mechanism is positioned one centimetre above the tread to help prevent the foot from unintentionally sliding out to the side, and the safety mechanism itself is located in the upper part to reduce the risk of sand and dirt delaying the opening. The tread has long horizontal openings that counteract the build-up of sand and dirt and contribute to secure grip in different riding conditions.
The tread is 12.5 cm wide and has a 5° incline to promote correct foot position and reduce strain on knees, pelvis and ankles. The maximum opening is 105 mm, the stirrups weigh 904 g and the maximum load is 150 kg.
