Zinc is a mineral supplement for horses that supports skin, coat, hooves and the immune system. Zinc plays an important role in several body functions and is involved, among other things, in the body's production of creatine. The mineral is of great importance for the horse's skin and coat quality as well as hoof strength and quality.
Zinc deficiency can manifest as a weakened immune system, skin problems and reduced coat quality. Examples of symptoms may include recurring pastern dermatitis, eczema and brittle hooves.
